Thousands of students in this region have now partaken in meaningful AI literacy lessons!

Day of AI and MIT RAISE partner with several ministries of education across West Asia. 

In 2024, our MIT Media Lab colleague, Dr. Sharifa Alghowinem, Research Scientist, worked with educators to translate the Day of AI curriculum into local languages. View the website and curriculum: https://mitmedialab.github.io/ArabicDayofAI/

In October 2025, the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK), in collaboration with Day of AI, launched a visionary AI Literacy Curriculum that brings artificial intelligence into classrooms from Kindergarten through Grade 12. This curriculum offers ready-to-use lesson plans, educator guides, and student activities designed to foster curiosity, critical thinking, and future-ready skills. Day of AI team member, Jorge Gallardo and MIT staff member, Tasneem Burghleh, facilitated a week's long series for educators in Abu Dhabi, equipping them to share their new learning and curriculum across schools in Abu Dhabi.
