NYC EDC, Day of AI Launches AI Adoption Pilot with NYC Public Libraries
Library staff at Brooklyn Public Libraries, New York Public Libraries, and Queens Public Libraries to begin AI literacy training Summer 2026.
"Advancing AI adoption to benefit everyday people is a core NYC EDC strategy. We recently launched our pilot initiative with the worlds' largest public library network: NYC's Tri-Li comprising The New York Public Library, Brooklyn Public Library, and Queens Public Library systems.
In partnership with Day of AI, 125 members of the Tri-Li met at Civic Hall to workshop how to bring patrons better access and understanding of how to responsibly use AI.
This summer, Tri-Li staff across these systems will begin training, and roll-out to Patrons begins in the Fall."

We're so excited to kick off new training for Tri-Li library staff this summer in partnership with NYC EDC and New York's three largest branches: New York Public Library, Queens Public Library, and Brooklyn Public Library.
